Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: May 26, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited uses of the GitDB platform and related services provided by Keyes AI, Inc. ("Keyes AI"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Keyes AI may modify this AUP at any time by posting a revised version on this page.
1. No illegal or harmful use
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or governmental order.
- Facilitate, promote, or engage in any illegal activity.
- Store, transmit, or distribute content that violates any third-party intellectual property rights.
- Distribute malware, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or other malicious code.
- Engage in phishing, social engineering, or credential harvesting.
2. No abuse of system resources
You may not:
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or other usage restrictions.
- Use automated means to create accounts or generate artificial load.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or connected networks.
- Consume excessive resources in a way that degrades the Service for other users.
- Share API tokens or credentials to exceed plan limitations.
3. No unauthorized access
You may not:
- Access or attempt to access accounts, repositories, or data belonging to other users without authorization.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written authorization from Keyes AI.
- Bypass or circumvent any authentication, encryption, or security measures of the Service.
- Access the Service through any unauthorized interface or protocol.
4. No reverse engineering
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service or its features.
- Access the Service for the purpose of building a competing product or service.
- Benchmark the Service and publish results without following the process in our Terms of Service.
5. No restricted data
Unless you have executed a separate agreement with Keyes AI (such as a BAA for HIPAA compliance), you may not use the Service to process:
- Protected health information (PHI) regulated by HIPAA.
- Payment card data subject to PCI-DSS (credit/debit card numbers, CVVs).
- Government-issued identification numbers (Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers).
- Biometric data used for identification purposes.
- Data of children under the age of 16.
6. No resale or redistribution
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service to third parties without Keyes AI's written permission.
- Use the Service to provide a hosted or managed service to third parties unless authorized under an enterprise agreement.
7. AI agent conduct
AI Agents accessing the Service on your behalf are subject to this AUP. You are responsible for ensuring that your agents:
- Operate within the scope of permissions granted by their API keys.
- Do not access repositories or data they are not authorized to access.
- Do not generate excessive load or abuse API rate limits.
- Comply with all applicable laws and these policies.
8. Enforcement
Keyes AI reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If we determine that a violation has occurred, we may take action including:
- Issuing a warning.
- Temporarily suspending access to the Service.
- Permanently terminating your account.
- Reporting the activity to law enforcement if required by law.
Where practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the violation before taking action. Immediate action may be taken without notice if we believe the violation poses a risk to the Service, other users, or Keyes AI.
9. Reporting violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to security@keyes.ai.
